Description

Tropical shrub having glossy foliage and fragrant nocturnal flowers with crimped or wavy corollas. This Flore Pleno variety has beautiful large double flowers which are extremely fragrant, especially at night. It's very easy to grow, somewhat drought- and heat - tolerant, good for potting culture.

When we moved to Magnetic Island 6 years ago I planted a 30 cm high cutting into our garden. Within 2 years this tiny plant had transformed itself into a 3 x 2 metre bush with lush green leaves and hundreds of gardenia-like flowers. I did a number of cuttings from the plant and it is now adorning several Maggie gardens. You cannot go wrong with this one, it is an absolute joy in the garden.
