Pandanus amaryllifolius 10 plants
10 plant superspecial
Rated 4/5 based on 5 reviews.P. amaryllifolius is a low growing (under one meter) plant with long narrow blade like leaves and woody aerial roots. It can be grown as a marginal plant in dams and ponds, used as a bedding plant in tropical landscaping and be used to hold creek banks. However it is most widely cultivated for use in Asian cooking and basket making. It is a very tropical plant!
It has a nutty botanical fragrance and is most commonly used in rice dishes or tied in a bundle and cooked with food.
Also useful in flower arrangements. We have an article on pandanus amaryllifolius here: http://nqheliconias.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/buying-pandanus-amaryllifolius-online.html

Hi John, that's not blight that has developed over the 2 1/2 weeks you have had them, that's your ultra tropical pandans reacting to being outside in Victoria in May. There is a detailed blog article linked to the plant profile here: https://www.elarishtropicalexotics.com/pandanus/ The article itself is brutally honest about growing pandans in outside of the tropics here: https://nqheliconias.blogspot.com/2013/03/buying-pandanus-amaryllifolius-online.html There is also recommendations on when to buy tropicals here: https://www.elarishtropicalexotics.com/page/tropical-plant-care/ They are still salvageable John, but you'll need to get them into hothouse conditions and start misting with seasol once a week, they will not pick up fertilizer through their roots in winter. Do not overwater them as they'll rot and they'll need humidity (maybe a warm bathroom or a grow light set up). Good Luck and please read the information we provide, Victoria is nowhere near a tropical climate, and it isn't easy to grow P. amaryllifolius there. Regards, Ann

25 September 2023I have been purchasing these plants bulk purchase from El Arish for a couple of years and have been really happy with the product, price and excellent customer service and care instructions provided. This last purchase took me by surprise as the plants were much bigger than ever. I grow and care for them and give most away as gifts. Thank you very much.

Awesome plants
9 March 2022Honestly when you said 10 small plants I thought they would be tiny but they are real big and super healthy. I was so surprised and very happy with my order. The plants smell so good. Thanks to the delivery, it was fast, otherwise it would’ve been stuck with all the floods. Im a happy customer

By: Ying Leong on 22 November 2016The plants arrived in good condition, well hydrated. Would have preferred them to arrive quicker rather than in transit for nearly a week.
