This cross between Beefsteak and Pogonantha has slightly less imbricated bracts. It tends to flower all year. We recommend it around swimming pools. Another truly awesome, highly desirable heliconia.
Also better flowering in the subtropics (i.e. Brisbane, Sunshine Coast) than Beefsteak.

5 December 2023Beautiful heliconia, very healthy and well packed. Acclimate for a month before planting in the ground and don't over water it. Young heliconias will rot very quickly if given too mach water. I know, I have killed few of them. One more thing. be very patient.

13 October 2017Arrived in good order. I have planted this heliconia into its permanent position which I have prepared previously. I have never had trouble planting and growing heliconias. I keep them well mulched, fertilise regularly, and water well.
