Golden Rostrata is very unique. It has the growth form and habit of H. rostrata but with golden yellow bracts. This is a must have heliconia for collectors and a feature plant for tropical gardens. At this point we are not sure how far south it will grow but it seems to have vigour and we hope some cold hardiness.

Golden Rostrata in River Heads, QLD
5 December 2023I bought this heliconia several months ego and is slow but steady grower, very cold resistant. Last winter in River Heads was colder then in Sydney (many days with temp 4-5 C).

Thanks Mark, that's great info to know about the cold tolerance. I wasn't sure if it would be as cold resistant as the more common red form.
