Brazil Cherry/Suriname Cherry is a highly ornamental shrub related to Lilly Pillies. It produces attractive, tasty fruit that has very high levels of vitamin C. The color of the fruit changes as it ripens. Brazil Cherries make excellent jam and are opular as a foraging fruit with children.
Most productive when left unpruned but can be pruned into a hedge. Highly recommended for school gardens or families with children old enough not to swallow seeds.
