If you live south of the Sunshine Coast.... It's getting late in the season to order heliconias! Unless you will be wintering your plants in a hothouse or have a garden that doesn't drop down under 10 degrees for winter it's getting a little late to properly establish your heliconias and torch gingers.

Features deep red porcupine like inflorescence and large emerald green leaves with a furry underside. The small yellow flowers are edible and great for salads or foraging children. They have a crisp sweet light ginger flavor. Grows in a wide range of situations.
