This psittacorum cross has large spiraling golden flowers that make it popular with cut-flower growers. It is also widely used as popular landscaping plant in tropical gardens.
Flowers well in pots. We are selling directly from pots with established roots and some foliage for quick establishment in your garden.

Heliconia x ............. "Golden Torch"

While the correct botanical name for the hybrid is quite a mouthful (Heliconia psittacorum x spathocircinata "Golden Torch") the plant as such is an absolute trooper, provided you can at least offer temperate to warm conditions. Unlike other perennials in the garden they relish warm summer rain and explode into large, colourful patches in your landscape - so much that "Golden Torch" may become one of your favourite give-aways :-). While not as impressive as the rostrata-Hybrids "Golden Torch" and its look-alike friends are super-reliable landscaping & garden plants. Keep them, share them, and above all, enjoy them !
